The project is very direct and brings a lot benefits to people who have very little. We will also be training up locals, to help maintain our good work.
We have already raised over £4,000 from our 'slave auction' and have a target of £20,000 to raise. We have several other fund raising events happening over the course of the year. We have entered our first ever team in the London triathlon on the 2nd August 2009 and would appreciate all donations to our fund, for project Uganda.
Please donate generously and make cheques made payable to "Project Uganda" sent to C.Anderson & Sons, 25 Filmer Road, SW6 7BP.

Crawford Anderson (junior, his dad's name is Crawford too) left the family plumbing business in Fulham to take part in the Channel 4's Shipwrecked. The show, screened on Sunday mornings on E4, follows two teams, the 'Tigers' and the 'Sharks', for the five months they lived on two desert islands.
Crawford quickly became a focal character on the show with his easy, positive manner and sense of fun made him an instant hit.

What gave you the impetus to do shipwrecked?
Travelling is one of my passions and when I saw the ad it just sounded brilliant; the idea of living on a desert island and the whole sense of adventure. When I learnt more about it and found out about the community building and the competition, it just sounded fantastic. I had seen the last Shipwrecked five years ago when I was at school and I loved it. But it was quite different even though then there was only one island.

Finding the next challenge to conquer, Crawford entered and completed the Flora London Marathon 2006 for our chosen charity MENCAP.
Crawford is pictured here (right) crossing the finishing line with Ben Rix (left), grandson of Lord Brian Rix one of the founding members of MENCAP.
Between them they managed to raise over £4000!

TESTIMONIALS
I just want to commend the work done by (I believe) Simon on 23rd November at my flat. He rang before he came saying when he was coming, he was polite and thoughtful, resourceful, competent, tidy and professional. One wishes there were more like him!

Just to say a big thank you for your excellent service. I was impressed by your representative, Martin. He gave me the facts and figures very clearly. I trusted him completely, so much so, I deceided to accept the estimate straight away - and I wasn't proved wrong! I can't praise your engineer David too highly - he was great and what a worker. It was so refreshing to deal with a company that kept their appointments, honour costings and good workmanship. So once again, many, many thanks.
